Posture is a musicians BEST friend! Good posture will allow you to breath properly, hold the instrument correctly, and play with your best possible sound. Use the photos below to see examples of good and bad posture. Whenever possible, use a mirror or a friend to check your posture!

Holding the Trombone properly is something ALL players need to focus on. Ensuring that the grip on the slide brace is relaxed will provide students with the foundation for all trombone playing. Utilize the photos to check and compare your trombone hold.
